HR Owen has provided a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster to children’s charity Rays of Sunshine to grant the wish of an eight-year old girl.
Emilia Palmer developed a non-specific cough two years ago which resulted in Pneumonia. She has now been diagnosed with a serious lung condition and relies on oxygen. Her mum contacted Rays of Sunshine a children’s charity which grants wishes for seriously ill children in the UK aged 3-18.
Emilia’s greatest wish was to ride in a pink Lamborghini driven by Top Gear’s Richard Hammond.
Joe Doyle, HR Owen chief executive, said: “We’re delighted to be able to help Rays of Sunshine make Emilia’s dream come true with the pinkest Lamborghini I’ve ever seen.
“Rays of Sunshine is a fantastic cause and HR Owen are thrilled to be a part of such a special charity.”
Hammond flew into the airfield in his helicopter to collect the car and drive it to Emilia’s house. After a surprise knock at the door, Emilia rode with Richard to the airfield where friends and family were waiting to witness Emilia experience the rush of driving at a high speed down the runway.

Kudos to H. R. Owen for their generous contribution to the Rays of Sunshine organization to bring happiness to that little girl. In a world of faceless corporations, it is nice to see one that takes some time out to make a little girl happy for a day.
