Polar Ford, part of the Ford Retail group, is expanding its dealership in Stockport after experiencing strong growth in 2012.

The dealership has acquired an adjacent dealership site previously occupied by Jaguar, transforming the old showroom into a 20 car facility meeting Ford’s latest ‘Look & Style’ standards.

The site was operated by Stratstone Jaguar and was vacated at the end of March 2012 by Pendragon.

Polar Ford’s old showroom will become a dedicated commercial vehicle centre displaying up to six models of vans with an outside used vehicle area for 30 vans, while the enlarged dealership forecourt will have the capacity to display over 100 used cars.

John Leeman, regional director for Polar Ford, said: “We’re very pleased that we have been able to go ahead with this major investment despite the difficult economic climate.

“The new site promises to provide our customers with an enhanced experience whether they are looking to buy a car or a commercial vehicle.”

Polar Ford is one of five trading brands operated by Ford Retail which itself is wholly owned by Ford Motor Company. It is the largest dedicated Ford dealership group in Europe. Polar Ford operates 11 other sites across the North West and Yorkshire.
