Ford Retail has started work on a new multi-million pound dealership in Runcorn which is due for completion in the summer.
It will replace Polar Ford’s current site in Runcorn, providing increased capacity.
All 38 staff will transfer to the new dealership which offers an improved location on a prime retail park.
The site was secured by specialist acquisition company Gerrish Price Kay and is being developed by commercial property developer Opus Land North. The current site is to be put on the market.
Simon Page, Ford Retail’s property manager, said: “We’re very pleased that we have been able to go ahead with this major investment despite on-going challenging trading conditions.
“The new site promises to provide our customers with an enhanced experience whether they are looking to buy a car or have their vehicle serviced.”
Polar Ford is part of Ford Retail which is wholly owned by Ford Motor Company and is the largest Ford dealership group in Europe.
Polar Ford is Ford Retail’s trading brand in the north of England with 12 sites including dealerships in St Helens, Warrington, Wilmslow and Stockport.
