Hendy Mazda’s successful tie in with Hampshire Cricket has been recognised by Mazda Motors UK, which has joined forces with the dealership as a co-sponsor.

Hendy Mazda took the opportunity to introduce the team to the Mazda6, Mazda6 Estate and Mazda CX-7, which the players will have full use of during the season.

The players attending the launch included: Sean Ervine, Dimitri Mascarenhas, manager Giles White, Friedel de Wet, Simon Jones, Kabir Ali, Nic Pothas and Jimmy Adams.

“As a big supporter of the game, it was great meeting the Hampshire lads again before the new season,” said Hendy Mazda franchise director Ian Mullen.

“It’s a real pleasure and privilege to be sponsoring cricketers of this calibre and for them to drive our range of Mazda models.”

Mazda Motors UK aftersales director Steve Jelliss said: “Hampshire is part of the cricketing elite, and we’re absolutely delighted to have an involvement with the club’s ongoing success story. Mazda is a keen supporter of sports which portray our core brand values – stylish, insightful and spirited.”

As a way of commemorating the 2011 sponsorship and thanking Hendy Mazda for its ongoing support, the Hampshire Club handed over a special framed T-shirt, signed by the entire cricket team.
