China has overtaken Japan to become the world’s second-biggest economy next to the US, with figures showing an economy worth $5.8 trillion (£3.62 trillion) in 2010.
Japan’s economy was worth £3.414 trillion in 2010.
At its current rate of growth, analysts see China replacing the US, which had an economy worth $14.7 trillion (£9.2 trillion) in 2010, as the world's top economy within the next decade.
Chinese manufacturer Great Wall will be launching into the UK this year with a network of 50 dealers, with the aim of getting that to 75. The Steed pick-up will come first this year and its headline model, the C10 European city car will follow before the end of the year too. A crossover will be launched by Great Wall in 2012.
