Cumbo Chrysler and Jeep in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, has closed after administrators were appointed by its bank.

The family-run business on Waterloo Road first opened in 1996 and the company has been established for more than 30 years.

Cumbo had invested more than £2 million in a new showroom and service centre when the dealership first opened and recently became a Ford service centre.

The business previously ran a Skoda franchise at Nile Street, also in Burslem, but it gave that up in 2004.
Chrysler is now looking for an alternative partner for the Stoke-on-Trent area.

Cumbo won Dealer of the Year, Sales Team of the Year and PR Team of the Year in Chrysler’s 2005 UK awards.

Cumbo was founded in 1973 by brothers Charlie and Tony Cumbo.
