Three in 10 motorists planning to change their car this year is looking for a more fuel efficient model.

That's according to a survey of 104 customers by Exchangeandmart.co.uk, which found that three in 10 also want a smaller car.

That's up on a similar survey for 2010, when two in ten wanted to downsize their car.

One in four also plan to reduce their mileage.
