Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is targeting new and existing customers with a new quarterly electronic newsletter.
Entitled Van Mail, it will provide an insight into news, exclusive offers and competitions from the LCV brand.
The first issue, published this week, entices recipients to test drive the latest Crafter van and be entered into a competition to win £5,000 for their business.
"Van Mail is intended to be informative, valuable and rewarding,' said David George, head of marketing, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
‘We already offer award-winning customer service, but want to be able to make our customers feel valued and well informed,' he continued.
The newsletter's launch comes soon after VW Commercial Vehicles UK beat all other VW CV operations globally to win the aftersales importer of the year award from the German manufacturer.
Criteria for the award, judged against every country that imports Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, included customer satisfaction ratings, staff training and development programmes, plus a robust strategy to deliver the best aftersales service.
The judges particularly praised Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in the UK for its focus on staff training, with a record number of master technicians throughout its van centre network, and initiatives such as its successful ‘100% Volkswagen', national service pricing and fleet package pricing campaigns to provide the best services and most cost-effective maintenance at Volkswagen Van Centres.
"This award is the result of a real focus and commitment by our aftersales and customer services team and staff in our van centre network to enhance the strong reputation and loyalty for Volkswagen vans, and make us the most valued van brand," added Simon Elliott, Director, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
