Sytner BMW in High Wycombe has picked up the BMW National Dealer of the Year trophy for its 2009 performance.
The dealership, which was opened by Sytner in 2005 as a £19m investment with showroom space for 80 cars and a 31-bay workshop, has been a high performer in all departments, particularly in new car retail direct profit, accessory sales and aftersales absorption. It also earned a top five position nationally of the 150-strong network in used car sales.
Tim Abbott, BMW UK managing director, commended the team at High Wycombe and its managing director Richard Berry.
Abbott said: ” To earn this award Richard and his team will have taken difficult decisions at the right time, taken finely judged entrepreneurial risks, maintained consistent focus across all key performance indicators, run a highly motivated and professional team and offered great customer service.
"Sytner High Wycombe is a very worthy winner demonstrating that a big investment in an area of high overheads can reap massive rewards.”
Berry said:” To be recognised nationally for doing an outstanding job is an enormous motivator for the entire team here. We are totally committed to customer satisfaction and we know that comes from people who are happy at work, which we measure regularly through staff surveys and make sure that we celebrate our successes however great or small.
"BMW National Dealer of the Year is the big one for us and we are already working towards keeping that award in High Wycombe next year too.”
