Charles Peugeot will step into the sales director role at Citroen UK on August 1, filling a vacancy left by Simon Monahan’s departure in February.

Peugeot will move across from his current role of the brand’s head of commercial vehicles and business sector. In that post he has overseen the creating of more than 90 Citroen business centres and increased the brand’s LCV sales by 24%.

He will report to Citroen UK’s new managing director, Linda Jackson, who took up the helm on July 1.

Jackson said: “Charles is the perfect appointment for this pivotal position within Citroën UK because of his operational experience and existing relationships with the Citroën dealer network.

“As head of commercial vehicles and business sector, Charles has already played a key role in driving sales and helping to grow Citroën’s reputation in the UK through new initiatives and the provision of an enhanced customer service programme.

"I look forward to working with Charles to increase our sales and network profitability in the UK.”
