The Goodwood’s Moving Motor Show (MMS) will be sponsored by Auto Trader on June 30 next year. Goodwood Festival

Jaguar, Porsche, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have already signed up to display models at the MMS.

The MMS will be held within the grounds of Goodwood Park as an addition to the annual Festival of Speed, which takes place from July 1-3.

The show helps to fill a gap left by the British International Motor Show (BIMS) which was cancelled this year due to the recession. It was hoped the BIMS would return in 2012, but that show has also been cancelled.

Goodwood will be working with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) to help plan the show.

The Earl of March, founder of the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed and MMS, said: “I am delighted to have Auto Trader on board as the Moving Motor Show steps up to become Britain’s new kind of annual motor show.

“Based on the very encouraging feedback we received at the 2010 event, the Goodwood Moving Motor Show is set to become a ‘must attend’ annual event, enabling car buyers to see and potentially experience the latest models, and giving vehicle producers the opportunity to showcase their products in a stunning setting and a relaxed environment.”
