Tata will launch its Vista electric vehicle in the UK at the start of summer next year. 
The new model will be assembled in the West Midlands and will qualify for the Government’s £5,000 plug-in car grant.
The new model is a fully-electric four-seater family car with a 110 mile range and a top speed of 71mph.
Just 12 vehicles will be available to fleet customers in 2011 before being launched to the retail market in 2012.
