General Motors has now fully shut down its US brand Pontiac after announcing its closure a year ago.
The US brand, famous for its muscle cars like the GTO and Firebird TransAm, was set up in 1962 but was picked for closure by GM as part of its financial restructuring.
Contracts with all Pontiac dealers have expired.
GM had to adjust its model portfolio after it entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection a year ago. The US brand sold off Saab, Hummer and its youth brand Saturn in order to focus on its core models.
