A company has won a contract to install 20 electric vehicle charging points in Brighton.

Elektromotive has had the go-ahead by Brighton councillors to install 10 Elektrobays by the end of 2009, plus a further 10 early next year.

Elektromotive has already completed installation of four Elektrobays at pilot sites – with two located at Bartholomews in the city centre, and another two in Ditchling Road near The Level.

Since 2006, the company has established a network of more than 100 roadside charging stations in London.
