Mazda’s new superlight MX-5 concept will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show from September 15. Mazda MX-5 superlight

The car has been stripped down to save on weight and Mazda’s design studio in Oberursel, Germany has created the car without a windshield and what it calls “sporty chassis settings for pure roadster driving”.

There’s no word yet on whether this car will ever reach UK dealerships as a special edition.
