BMW Financial Services has launched BMW Protect, offering life and critical illness protection on payments, and BMW Shortfall, covering any value gap after an accident or theft.

In a five-year deal insurer Allianz will provide the cover and Mondial Assistance will administer the programme.

BMW Shortfall applies to Minis and BMW motorcycles as well as cars.
