Inchcape has appointed two new non-executive directors.

They are Alison Cooper, who is currently a member of the Board and chief operating officer of Imperial Tobacco Group, and Nigel Northridge, currently chairman of Paddy Power.

Cooper has been with Imperial for 10 years, where she has held several senior regional, divisional and corporate roles before being recently promoted to her current role. Previously she spent 11 years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Northridge, is also senior independent director of Aggreko and non-executive director of Thomas Cook Group. He was chief executive of Gallaher Group until it was sold in 2007 for £9.4 billion.
