Citroën UK managing director Xavier Duchemin is leaving his role in June to become global marketing and communications director for Citroën worldwide.
A successor has not yet been announced. John Miskin, Citroën dealer council chairman and owner of Sportif Citroën, said he was sad to see Duchemin go and wished him every success in his promotion.
Duchemin has “dramatically improved the communications between Citroën and the dealer council and would always get things done” said Miskin.
He said Duchemin’s replacement would need to have a good understanding of the UK market and appreciate how different it is to its European counterparts.
“We have some fantastic models in the UK line-up and we need to optimise everything to get market share,” said Miskin.
Duchemin has been UK managing director since 2005. Before that he held the same position for Citroën in Austria.
He succeeds Xavier Chardon who has been appointed managing director for France.
