Lex Autolease launched into the used vehicle auction market this week with a series of sales involving more than 4,000 vehicles.

The fleet management specialist, created by a merger of Lloyds TSB's Autolease and HBOS's Lex in September, held the sales through auction groups BCA and Manheim.

Vehicles ranged from Mini Coopers to Ford Transit Connects.

Glenn Sturley, vehicle remarketing director at Lex Autolease said: “I am delighted to be launching Lex Autolease into the auction market.

"It is arguably the largest and most influential business in this sector and the combined capacity of two very strong brands will bring customers unrivalled expertise and choice to match any requirement.

"I would like to see the company leading by example delivering the very highest levels of customer service and driving through new innovation in an already established industry.”
