Chrysler UK has appointed seven new dealers to its network.
This is further to the announcement in July when Chrysler introduced four new dealers, bringing the total to 11 new dealerships appointed in the last three months. Chrysler is planning to add six more to the network before the end of the year.

The seven new dealerships recently opened are Chrysler Stevenage, Chrysler Bishop's Stortford, Chrysler Hertford, Lancaster Southend, Triangle Chesterfield, Sunwin Derby and Drayton Chrysler Jeep & Dodge Shrewsbury.

Chrysler Stevenage, located at Gunnels Wood Road, has become an authorised sales and service dealership and oversees activity at two further dealerships; Bishop’s Stortford on Stansted Road and Chrysler Hertford at Foxholes Business Park on John Tate Road.

Located on Stephenson Road, Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, Lancaster Southend added the Chrysler franchise to its existing site. The dealership opened last month and has sales and aftersales facilities.

In the north of England, Chrysler opened Triangle Chesterfield on Pottery Lane West, Whittington Moor and Sunwin Derby at Sir Frank Wittle Way. Both opened in September and offer the full Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge model range plus genuine approved used vehicles.

Last month, Drayton Chrysler Jeep & Dodge Shrewsbury, opened its Battlefield Road showroom. The dealership will have a sales facility and be supported by a large aftersales department.

Federico Goretti, managing director at Chrysler UK, said: "At Chrysler UK we have been busy rebuilding the confidence in our brands.

“For the first time in three years our dealer network is realising strong, positive levels of return with both operating and direct profits increasing.

“The strengthening of our franchise will continue with the appointment of a further six new dealers to our network before the end of 2009.”

Chrysler UK posted its highest monthly sales figure in September this year, with a total of 2,014 vehicles sold.

Sales increased by 16.8% over a weak September 2008 performance of 1,725 units.
