BBC Three is searching for the UK’s top mechanic in its new television show Young Mechanic of the Year 2009.

The show is part of a new BBC Three series celebrating young trade talent across the country.

The series also features chefs, butchers and hairdressers has been dubbed ‘Chop Idol’ and it will celebrate the UK’s young unsung heroes.

The BBC is urging talented young mechanics or employers to get in touch

The BBC said: “We’re looking for someone who can be a true ambassador for their trade, who is aged 16-25 years, up for a challenge and wants to show the world their skills.”
