Former director general of the CBI Digby Jones has been appointed as a corporate ambassador for Jaguar Land Rover.
The 53-year-old, who is now Lord Jones of Birmingham, stepped down as Trade Minister last October, reports the Telegraph website.
Jones, who was born in Longbridge, will be expected to attend a number of evenings at Jaguar Land Rover dealerships throughout the year.
A JLR spokesman said Digby was a great ambassador for the car industry, for the West Midlands and for British business
