BMW will complete its network review by the beginning of 2009. The assessment was expected to finish by the end of September, the point at which non-renewed dealers would be replaced.
However, a BMW spokesperson said a number of agreements were yet to be confirmed.
AM has recently reported Listers Group’s takeover of BMW and Mini in Boston, Lincolnshire, from Taylors Group and Yorkshire dealer JCT600 selling its Almondbury BMW site to Sandal BMW.
Pendragon has sold its Tring dealership to Specialist Cars and is also selling two under-performing businesses in Milton Keynes and Taplow and is closing another in Windsor.
The next review will be in five years, in line with dealer contracts.
