Fred Stamp has joined 1link Hire as national sales manager for its daily rental e-commerce platform. He was previously with Hertz and Budget.

Continental has promoted Phil Scanlan (left) and Tom Whittaker to European sales director and sales manager – car fleets respectively. Scanlan was previously a fleet sales manager while Whittaker was sales development manager.

Kim Hopcroft has been promoted to operations director at Network Automotive.

Lex has appointed Mark Lovett as commercial vehicle director. He was formerly Renault UK’s national LCV fleet sales manager.

Peter Gaster is the new chairman of the Tyre Industry Federation. Gaster, who is chief executive of Kings Road Tyres Group, is also chairman of the National Tyre Distributors Association.

Alan Gravestock has been appointed fleet logistics manager at Vision Vehicle Solutions.

Mitsubishi UK has appointed Nick Palmer, previously Suzuki sales and marketing director, as director of aftersales. Stephen Blackburn has been promoted to director of business development.
