Ford's new Fiesta range will once again feature the sporty Zetec S trim when it goes on sale in October.

Standard equipment includes five-spoke, 16-inch alloy wheels, projector headlamps, front fog lamps, a deeper front bumper, side mouldings and a rear spoiler.

Interior equipment includes leather steering wheel and bolstered sports seats, side airbags and air conditioning.

The new Zetec S will be powered by a new 118bhp Duratec Ti-VCT engine which will reach 0-62mph in 9.9 seconds and a top speed of 120mph. It returns fuel economy of 47.9mpg and carbon dioxide emissions of 139g/km.

The Zetec S will also be available with a 1.6-litre 88bhp Duratorq TDCi diesel engine. The diesel will manage 67.3mpg and generates 110g/km CO2.

Prices for the new Fiesta range will be announced at the British International Motor Show next week.
