Simon Elliott, Chrysler UK’s new managing director and ex Chrysler China boss, has been titled with CEO of the year at the China Automotive Toplist awards.

The award was presented at China’s biggest annual event for imported vehicle manufacturers hosted by the China Trading Centre for Automobile Imports (CTCAI).

Elliott said: "To gain such recognition from the journalists, dealers and other people associated with the auto industry in China, the fastest growing market in the world is an accolade for both me and my management team.

"My time in China has been immensely rewarding, it is surprising just how much has changed in the UK market since I left to head up Chrysler in China two years ago."
