In May, dealer confidence hit a new high after a strong first quarter for new and used car sales. Since then we've had another interest rate rise, and car sales have begun to slow - will this have an impact on confidence?

AM will be publishing the next AM/HPI Litmus Test analysis of business confidence in its August 10 issue.

The Litmus test provides dealers with a measurement on how the industry is performing in a number of key areas. The KPI questions cover new/used car sales and profitability expectations and the results are published in AM every three months.

New questions added to this survey look at return on sales performance and staff turnover - how will you measure up against the industry average?
