Paul Reed, dealer principal at the Barrack Road site, said: “Since this award was launched almost 20 years ago we have always been in contention and I am delighted for everyone concerned that we have finally achieved the number one spot.
“The competition for the Dealership of the Year award is intense and this is matched by BMW’s assessment of those nominated. Winning recognises the quality of all aspects of our operation and enhances our status in the industry.
“What has made the difference between winning the regional and national award is our success with our people particularly in our new management structure which was created two years ago and has really delivered in adding to customer delight when dealing with the company."
The Fawdington’s city centre based facility has invested over £10 million in the site over the past six years.
The newest developments at Fawdington Newcastle include a new showroom large enough to display 32 new cars and new workshops run by sister company Carr and Earl.
