The £1m investment at Vernon Road features a showroom displaying seven new Kias and seven new Fiats with room for 100 used cars outside.
On its opening day the nine-strong sales team sold nine new Kias, seven new Fiats as well as 20 used cars.
In its first year of operation, the facility, a former John Fox Volkswagen site, is expected to sell 400 new cars, evenly split between the two marques, plus 1,000 used cars.
Nigel Falkiner, marketing manager at Sandicliffe, says: “We started on December 27 and completed stage one by February 15.
“Stage two, service and parts departments, are to be completed by March 30.”
Once completed, the site will feature six workshop bays plus a fast-fit centre, including an MoT bay. Darin Quaintance is managing the dealership, with Laurence Dyer working as sales manager.
