Richard Parry-Jones, group vice president and chief technical operator of Ford Motor Company, has decided to retire on December 31.

His role will be split in two, with Derrick Kuzak, currently group vice president, global product development becoming group vice president for the whole of Ford, and Gerhard Schmidt, will take on the role of chief technical officer in addition to his current role as vice president of research and advanced engineering.
