It purchased the site from Pendragon for an undisclosed sum. Perrys says it will retain the existing staff.
Perrys managing director Ray Sommerville said: "The purchase of the Land Rover franchise in Luton is part of Perrys’ overall strategic plan to grow the business through selective acquisitions in specific areas of the country, and to increase our stable of prestige marques.
"This acquisition is the first we have completed in 2007. We are always looking for suitable opportunities to increase our representation in areas that will compliment our dealership network, we hope to announce other successful acquisitions during 2007."
The new site has been rebranded Perrys and will be overseen by the group’s central regional director, John Daley.
This is the third Land Rover dealership for the group, and has a strategic geographical fit as it is the first Perrys' Land Rover dealership in the south of the country, with its existing dealerships in Huddersfield and Halifax in West Yorkshire.
