Coleshill based Rybrook, which has two other Chrysler dealerships incorporating the Jeep and Dodge brands within the West Midlands, has purchased the Banbury Road dealership as part of its UK expansion plans.
Henry Whale, managing director of Rybrook, said: “The purchase of Varsity Chrysler Jeep follows hot on the heels of the recent purchase of Jackson Alexandra at the end of 2006, which operates the North Yorkshire Mercedes-Benz dealerships in York, Harrogate and Scarborough and is testament to our commitment to expand our operations across the UK.”
Varsity Chrysler Jeep, which was established in 1995, will now be called Ryfield Oxford and comes under the umbrella of the Ryfield brand along with the other Chrysler dealerships – Ryfield Sutton and Ryfield Halesowen.
The new acquisition will ensure that all 33 members of staff will remain with the company. The dealership will continue to be managed by Laurence Mills who has been with the brand for over 10 years.
