West Sussex Renault dealership Swan Garage Bosham Ltd is being prosecuted for alleged breaches of health and safety law.

It follows an HSE investigation after employee Raymond Sharp-McStravock suffered injuries to his spine and damage to his left knee and shoulder due to an incident on February 14, 2005.

Sharp-McStravock was accessing a heater suspended over a ramp. As he stood on a part-sawn plank, it broke resulting in a fall of “at least three metres”.

The case was heard by Chichester Magistrates’ Court on August 16. Swan Garage Bosham pleaded not guilty. A pre-trial date of September 13 has been set.
