Shepherd took up the post this month after seven years working for Toyota in various field roles, most recently as UK network representation manager.
"This is an exciting time to be joining Lexus, as the programme of new product introductions provides us with a great opportunity to grow sales in the UK.
“I am looking forward to working with the Lexus Centre network to deliver sustainable growth in the coming years. We are also looking forward to the prospect of a third hybrid power model, the LS 600h, joining the product range next year, reinforcing Lexus's position as the world leader in performance hybrid technology."
Shepherd reports to Steve Settle, Lexus director and replaces Mark Roden, who has taken on the position of Lexus general manager, marketing and strategy.
