Skoda has launched a new diesel version of its Octavia vRS range, on sale now.

It’s powered by a new 170bhp, Euro IV compliant 2.0 TDI PD, which powers the car from 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds (in the hatch). Despite this, Skoda says it still returns 48.7mpg.

The Octavia diesel vRS goes on sale next month and is priced at £18,370 for the hatch and £19,220 for the estate.
