The £500,000, 30-bay Renault workshop at Muckwell Hill was completed in April and became an authorised Renault repairer at the beginning of July. It also carries out approved repairs for Peugeot, Škoda, Citroën, Kia, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Suzuki and MG Rover, and is home to All Electric’s all-makes accident repair centre.
Customers bringing their cars to the site check-in their vehicles at an airport-style lounge, where each brand has its own desk. “With the addition of Renault we are hoping to attract more than 100 customers every day to our centre,” says Andrew Cocksedge, group director.
With the exception of Kia, Peugeot and Renault, All Electric is also an approved new car franchised dealer for all the brands it services and currently has a turnover of £50m.
Its Suzuki and Hyundai dealership is based in Kiddeminster while the Škoda franchise is located in Kings Heath, Birmingham. It also has two used-car supermarkets at Barnes Hill and Halesowen, both in the West Midlands.
“Earlier this year we opened a new £500,000 Citroën showroom at the Barnes Hill site,” says Cocksedge. “We gave up the Kia franchise in April when we opened up the new service centre at Muckwell Hill as we didn’t have the space.”
“The addition of Renault allows us to provide servicing and repairs to the high standards demanded of a manufacturer-approved centre,” says Richard Carroll, service centre manager.
