After 10 years as Toyota (GB) managing director, Graham Smith is moving to an international role with the carmaker.

His replacement, Miguel Fonseca, is currently vice president and chief operating officer of Toyota Spain. He will join Toyota GB on September 1.

Smith has been promoted to a dual role: senior vice president of Toyota Motor Europe in Brussels, responsible for external affairs and environmental affairs, and managing director of Toyota Motor Europe’s London office, where he will coordinate efforts in governmental and external affairs directly for the UK market.

Smith joined Toyota (GB) from Ford Motor Company in 1993 as regional general manager, and became MD in 1996.
