In January 2005, following the introduction of the GEN-2 family hatchback Proton announced many of its dealers were now achieving Motability Dealer Partner status.
Simon Park, Proton’s general manager of sales and marketing, said: "Following on from the GEN-2’s success on the Motability Scheme we are pleased to be able to add the Savvy onto the Scheme as well."
Through the Motability Scheme, PCUKL will provide customers with a new vehicle every three years, covering the costs of insurance, loss and damage protection, maintenance and breakdown cover. Mike Betts, chief executive of Motability Operations, said: "Continuing to expand the choice available on the Motability Scheme remains a priority. The increasing range of affordable new cars, such as the Proton Savvy, means that there has never been a better time to be a customer on the Motability Scheme."
