Mitsubishi will reveal its new Outlander SUV model at the 2006 New York International Auto Show in April. It will go on sale in the UK in January.

The new Outlander is fitted with a 3.0L V6 MIVEC engine and features a standard six-speed ‘Sportronic’ automatic transmission with one-touch manual shifting and adaptive electronics.

The new model also includes a new two-piece flap-fold rear tailgate, in-floor stowable third-row seat, standard Bluetooth hands-free cellular phone interface and optional 650-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system, DVD player and hard-drive satellite navigation system.

UK prices will be announced nearer to launch.
