Mazda's total global production of the Mazda6 (known as Atenza in Japan) reached the one million-unit market at the end of February.

It took four years and one month to reach the milestone since the first Mazda6 came off the line at the Hofu Number 2 Plant in Japan 2002.

Mazda said it was the fastest a single vehicle model to reach one million units of production.
