Perodua will begin exporting its Myvi to the United Kingdom from July this year after it has eased the backlog of some 45,000 units booked by customers in its domestic market, says its managing director Syed Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar.

It will use UK as the springboard for the car to penetrate the right-hand drive market overseas.

“We are trying to meet the demand here before we move on to UK. We have already passed the quality check in the UK and from there we would be able to go anywhere,” he said.
