Audi has added the 2.7-litre turbodiesel engine to the A4 range to replace the old 2.5 TDI model.

The new engine offers 177bhp and 280lb-ft of torque, compared with 161bhp and 258lb-ft for the old 2.5 engine. However, fuel economy and CO2 emissions remain virtually unchanged at 40.1mpg and 185g/km. Prices start at £25,270 for the saloon and £26,420 for the Avant.
