Audi’s new R8 sports car will feature 210 exterior LED lights, which will even feature on its engine.

The new two-seater goes on sale in the spring and customers will be able to specify a light package which includes LED cabin illumination and LED engine compartment lighting, which is visible through the model’s clear glass bonnet.

Order books for the £76,725 R8 were opened at the Paris Motor Show earlier this year and the UK’s allocation of cars have been snapped up until mid-2008.
