Skoda will launch a Scout version of its new Roomster, following on from the Octavia Scout which was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this year.

It is identifiable from other models in the range thanks to rugged styling cues and larger exterior dimensions.

The Scout model comes with 16-inch alloy wheels as standard; 17 inch wheels are available as an option.

There will be a choice of two engines, a four-cylinder 1.6 16-valve petrol developing 105bhp and a four-cylinder 1.9 TDI PD also with 105bhp. Both of the engines come with a five-speed manual transmission.

Skoda plans to have the Roomster Scout on sale in the spring.
