Blue Bell’s new Mini site in Crewe will be completed in November.

It is approximately half a mile from the existing BMW and Mini operation and will mean Blue Bell's retail presence in the area will double in acreage - the new 1.5-acre site matching that of the current jointly branded dealership.

"It's very exciting: with the new building taking shape it looks bigger than the plans, and now the landscaping has started, the dealership is being revealed to the passing public. It will be a landmark. A very visible step towards delivering a massively important local development in the history of Blue Bell," said Barry Holt, director of Blue Bell Crewe.

"The current Mini site on Weston Road is integrated into the larger BMW operation, but Mini is growing, BMW is growing, Blue Bell is growing and we have reached the limits for Mini on the current site.

"The acquisition, development and opening of the new site will mean we will create new employment, have room for growth and provide an even higher level of choice and service."

As well as Mini sales, there will be parts, service, MOT testing and a valeting service available at the new site.

Blue Bell, which opened in 1990, currently employs 85 people in Crewe.
