The new Mini will hit UK roads next month after a hugely successful first five and a half years for the brand.
BMW has kept many of the same design cues but has slightly tweaked ‘virtually every part of the car’ making for a slighter larger and chunkier look.
Every exterior panel is new, as is the whole of the interior. The engines are new and are built at BMW’s Oxford plant. There are new suspension set-ups, six-speed manual and automatic transmissions, and a bespoke electric steering system.
There will be a Sports button for the Cooper S and a sports suspension set-up available, as well as a new automatic transmission featuring paddle shifts.
Mini’s ‘tlc’servicing package will be retained.
The new Mini goes on sale on November 18.
Prices for the new Mini are yet to be announced. However, US prices were leaked yesterday, showing a $700 price hike for the Cooper and $400 increase for the S model. It would be unsurprising to see a rise in price for the UK models due to the increased amount of specification and increase in size.
