The Independent Factors Association’s board has appointed Andy Buttfield as its new chairman with immdiate effect.

Buttfield is the general manager and a director of Jayar with 25 branches operating in the South and East of the UK. He has been with Jayar for over 29 years, and brings a wealth of experience to the IFA's top job.

The previous IFA chairman, Richard Stevens, recently stood down from the chairman's position following a hip replacement operation a few weeks ago.
