Asgard, the Midlands based motor retail group, has gone into administration, putting 100 jobs at risk.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has been appointed as administrators and said it will try and keep the company running.

Asgard sells Volvo, Suzuki and Daihatsu cars in Wolverhampton and Cannock, and Kia, Citroen and Mitsubishi in Wednesbury.

PwC said it was too early to tell what the future would hold for the Wolverhampton and Cannock operations, which employ 60 people, and the Wednesbury arm, which employs 40.
