Applying the logic of its established Advance Payment Plan it involves a saving of £3,000 on the OTR price, within the structure of paying roughly half when ordering the car and the remainder in 12 months.
This is a direct approach to keeping loyal customers on board or generating conquest business from drivers of other luxury brand products, particularly the Germans, into the fold.
Instead of paying £43,995 or even more on a conventional interest bearing PCP or HP deal, the potential buyer of Jaguar’s highly acclaimed big oil burner puts down £20,409 and takes ownership 24 months later with a further £20,586.
The deal, virtually a 50/50 PCP worked out with guaranteed minimum value but minus interest, is part of Jaguar’s ongoing promotional campaign for its diesel portfolio, which permeates the range. On sale since June last year, diesel sales account for 27.5% of XJ volume.
