Fiat Auto UK’s search for the top Fiat and Alfa Romeo technician has come to an end, with the winners celebrating a three day break in Italy.

The Top Fiat Technician Award went to Mark Goodman, while the Top Alfa Romeo Technician Award went to Stuart Mackenzie.

Each of the technicians were tested through a series of paper-based, online and practical assessments. The competition is designed to test both knowledge and skill, and to reward and recognise the top performers in the country.

All certified Fiat and Alfa Romeo technicians were invited to participate in the competition, by completing two assessments to test their technical knowledge. The top three performers for each marque were rewarded with a prize which they could choose from a selection, including home cinema systems, digital cameras and MP3 players.

The Practical Finals established the top 10 technicians, who were then invited to Parma in Italy to celebrate their achievement. Over the course of three days, winners visited the Ferrari Museum in Modena, attended an awards ceremony, and enjoyed a full day of hands on racing at the Varano de’ Melegari Race Circuit.
